Norway Offers more Aid to Syria

Basically, Norway is giving money to Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon in efforts to try to help refugees and those displaced by the war to help get by. They are also doing this to try to get Syria to leave Kuwait. In total, they have sent about 1.3 billion NOK. Norway was previously entreated to help destroy the weapons in Syria. However, due to a "lack of experience" in things pertaining to this, the Norwegians declined, but instead sent aid.
I personally think that the Norwegians are doing the right thing in sending aid to the Syrians. Not being able (or not wanting to at least) to help destroy the weapons, they decided to send money to help the refugees and homeless. At the same time however, I feel that this is just a way to look like Norway has helped. Declining to help destroy weapons of mass destruction seems like a very big deal, and I feel that Norway is only giving money so that they can say that they have helped in the efforts in Syria.
This article pertains to the political life in Norway because it reflects how much the Norwegians give out in money to help others. It shows that the Norwegians tend to give money away and suggests that they have a lot of money . However, it also shows that Norway does not like to get its hands dirty when it comes to doing more important things like destroying weapons.
